Imagine if Scorpio didn’t possess that calm exterior? Imagine that every wicked, dark thought that crossed his mind was easily read on his face? Imagine Scorpio sharing those thoughts with you? Could you still be with him and want him? if you knew just how deep Scorpio could go and brought you along for the ride, would you?

Scorpios are fascinating individuals because they are able to hide so much from people and maintain this reputation that spreads from word of mouth and astrology books. Someone ran into one or two Scorpio males who had no problem sharing their dark, twisted, sexually obsessed thoughts and that is what gives us our view of Scorpio. It actually reminds me of those scary movies, like The Blair Witch Project, where you don’t actually see anything, so your mind is welcome to project the most horrifying images. This is how we view the 8th sign. Because we know so little of them, our minds are left to imagine and figure them out. That, along with the stuff we read, gives us a pretty scary picture…but again what if wasn’t true? I knew a young man who described himself and other Scorpios in the classic, text-book way. He even used descriptives that I read word verbatim out of various Astro books and this got me thinking. If there was nothing out there describing how one is suppose to act, would we act that way? It’s a pretty indepth question but consider this. We tend to seek outside sources to help figure out who we are, right? We pick up a book and read this description and it says some of the ways we act, respond, love, etc. We agree with this and keep reading but did you know that in reading how we’re suppose to be, its actually making us be that way. A Scorpio reads how he’s introverted and that’s correct, he is introverted. Then he reads further that he’s sex obsessed. He didn’t know this before because he’s never felt that way but by reading that he “suppose” to be sex obsessed and with the other description true, he becomes sex obsessed. A interesting study would be to raise a child thinking they are one Astro Sign, like a Virgo but in actuality they would be a Pisces. Which would play out, especially as the child got older and read about Virgos in astrology books and on-line.

What if Scorpios were….normal (gasp!). What if they’re thoughts were no darker or scarier than anyone else’s? What if they had the same insecurities, doubts, fears and stigmas as everyone? What if this Scorpio who can become the eagle and then a dove, is just another average joe with a mixture of good and bad like the remaining 11 sun signs? They’d lose the rep and we wouldn’t be as scared/repulsed/attracted/hypnotised by them.

So, the next time you’re dealing with a Scorpio, pretend he’s not one. Pretend he’s just this human being you’ve met and fell for with his own individual quirks and faults. Try not to go by what he’s suppose to do and don’t compare him to anything you’ve read. Pretend that on some level he doesn’t scare you, he can’t read your mind and you playing it cool makes him think you don’t like him. Pretend that he’s like everyone else and is just as afraid as making an ass out of himself as you are. Pretend that one of you has to make a move or nothing will happen…

Scorpios are stubborn, so don’t expect it to be him and don’t pretend it will be.
